Trading

How do I buy crypto?

Go to the Marketplace, filter by payment method and currency, and find a sell offer that suits you. Click the offer, enter the amount you want to buy, and click Start Trade. The seller's crypto is locked in escrow and you'll see payment instructions. Send payment, mark it as paid, then wait for the seller to confirm and release the crypto.

How do I sell crypto?

Make sure you have crypto in your SachaPay wallet, then click Post an Offer. Set your price, payment method, and trade limits. When a buyer opens a trade, their request locks your crypto in escrow. Once the buyer sends payment, verify it in your account and click Release Crypto.

What is the minimum trade amount?

The minimum trade and offer amount is $10 USD equivalent in any currency.

What are the trade limits?
  • Level 0 (Email verified): Up to $1,000 per trade
  • Level 1 (KYC ID verified): Up to $50,000 per trade
  • Level 2 (POA Address verified): Up to $1,000,000 per trade
What happens if the seller doesn't release my crypto?

If you've paid and the seller is not responding, open a dispute from the trade room. Our moderators will review the evidence (payment proof, chat) and release the crypto to the rightful party within 48 hours.

Escrow & Safety

How does escrow work?

When a trade starts, the seller's crypto is automatically locked in SachaPay's secure escrow. It cannot be touched by either party until the trade resolves. This protects buyers from sellers who might disappear after receiving payment, and protects sellers by ensuring payment is confirmed before crypto is released.

Is it safe to trade with unverified users?

The escrow system protects all trades regardless of verification level. However, trading with KYC-verified ( ID) or fully verified ( Verified) traders gives you additional confidence, as they've confirmed their identity with SachaPay.

What is a chargeback scam and how do I avoid it?

A chargeback scam happens when a buyer sends payment via a reversible method (PayPal, credit card), you release the crypto, then they reverse the payment with their bank. To avoid this:

  • Only accept irreversible payments (bank transfer, cash deposit, mobile money) when possible.
  • If accepting PayPal, use Goods & Services only never Friends & Family.
  • Never release crypto until payment fully clears in your account.
  • Check the buyer's trade count and verification badge.
What happens if I accidentally release crypto before getting paid?

Once crypto is released from escrow, it cannot be reversed. Please verify payment is in your account before clicking Release Crypto. SachaPay cannot recover released crypto.

Verification (KYC/POA)

Do I need to verify my identity to trade?

No you can start trading with email verification only (Level 0), up to $1,000 per trade. To access higher limits, complete KYC (Level 1) or POA (Level 2) verification.

What documents do I need for KYC?

For KYC (Level 1), you need a valid government-issued photo ID:

  • Passport
  • National ID card
  • Driver's licence

For POA (Level 2), you additionally need a proof of address document (utility bill or bank statement dated within 3 months).

How long does verification take?

KYC and POA reviews are typically completed within 24 hours. You'll receive an email notification when your verification is approved or if any resubmission is needed.
